Major changes in telecoms market
You may have heard that there are big changes taking place among the major telecoms companies. Avaya, a key Taurus business partner, is set to buy Nortel's enterprise solutions business for US $475million.
The good news is that services from Taurus and Avaya will not be affected. We can assure you of normal service without disruption. In the long-term, there is the potential for new services and an even stronger communications infrastructure.
Avaya's agreement to buy Nortel's enterprise solutions business, which includes the voice, data and government businesses, is not yet finalised and will be a lengthy process, subject to court approval and customary closing conditions.
In the meantime, Avaya is restricted from commenting on its intentions regarding Nortel employees, partners, portfolio, etc. You can, however, read the Avaya press release regarding the announcement here.
